this is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.
we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.
we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

is it because we're a cynical lot?.
maybe because we were the first generation of latch-key kids who learned how to raise ourselves?.
what is it that makes it so 'hard to lie to a gen xer?

I think you will see the society move more and more towards earlier baptisms since baptized witnesses have much less freedom to move out of the org without substantial consequences.---joelbear
any earlier than the current average age of baptisms and they just may as well dunk 'em in right from birth
i remember kids getting dunked at the age of 12 and even earlier in a few of the towns that i lived in. . . .

Generation X---Billy Idol's band before he went solo c.1979
Gen X--- we grew up on MTV, when musicvideos still played,
shows were not aired and commercials were few and far in between the music,
we had 120 minutes on sunday nite,
concerts were televised on MTV
Duran Duran was big and so was Culture Club
Police was synchronous
Rubiks cube went to school with us
Molly Ringwall(sp?) was pretty in pink
The Breakfast Club was more than poptarts
The Ratpack invaded the theaters
Miami was a vice
Bauhaus/Peter Murphy sang Belalogosi is Dead
Ronald Reagan was president
Americans were afraid of the Russians and vice versa/cold war
Politics were heavy in music lyrics, ie. U2
Morissey and Johnny Marr started the Smiths. . . .
any one else want to share the gen x experience. . . .

it seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?
for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .
thanks.
1972 my mom was conned at the door,
she had just finalized her divorce from my dad and was snagged during an emotional low. I was 2 years old at the time so for all practical purposes i was raised as a dub. In 1976 she married some shmuck that had just been assimilitated and he slowly and gradually moved up the ranks in the hall. Thus preventing me from making the break for it in my teen age years.

Hey Alan
I hear you man, and i appreciate the advice, i'm not so thickheaded that i can't see intelligence when it proves itself. . .
if i gave you a hard time or was a wise ass it was only because of the way things were said, it takes a while to know personalities around here, yeah i prolly took things a bit too far but that is the charm of being human. . .
by and by, i appreciated the physics intro, i used to fall asleep in class cause it was too early (7:30am, high school, senior year) throw into the mix that the world was going to end at any given second and it made up for a highly aloof personality. . . .profs name was Londonio had a really thick columbian accent, brilliant and boring at the same time,
anyhows that was long ago. . .
Janh
your crush on Suzi is transparent, so i'll spare you the details
i am a lucky dog, what can I say
except she's quite the feline. . .
I'll field this one for the mistress, and keep pace with your attention span
now that you have the links you can add the information to your website and add it to the plethora of information that you claim as your own,
remember this, keep it under 20% of the original work to avoid headaches. . .and to keep from having to prove that you are indeed a scholar . . . i mean educator
another thing if you can keep up. . .
information does not equate to knowledge.
by the way, wasn't it you who committed copyright infringement/plaigiarism?
something about a thread started with a letter you recieved?
had Janh at the start of the thread. . . a few days ago???
here is another scooby snack
you cannot copyright
a name,or a word or a phrase,
that is an issue dealing with trademarks and slogans
that is why Suzi can use LaraCroft as a screen name
and not be infringing on a copyright
one more cause we are feeling generous
the character's name in the movie and Tomb Raider
is Lara Croft, not LaraCroft
see that space in between the first and last name???
it is technically a new name
that . . .is called a loophole. . .
Kent
why are you surprised? I'm really not instigating this time,
we have been saying we are 2 different people since the day she came on
by the way what IS Yaki Da?
we have narrowed it down to some type of dialect meaning. . . .
_____________?
cheers
Suzi may be gone . . .from the "bored"
but i'm still playing. . . .
niters
ps Emy and Riz thanks for the words,
if you want to chat with Suzi goto her site and email her she's good like that. . .
if not catch us at

a critique of suzi mayhem's theory of god .
i thought, when suzi first posted this, that it was a joke something like john cleese's classic "brontosaurus theory" skit in a monty python episode.
but mr. "dark clouds" has sort of asked me to critique it as if it were a serious theory, so here goes.. i'll address this to suzi, but suzi dear, don't take this too seriously.
on the subject of derailment. . .
since you obviously were able to disect and interpret what i was trying to say then you understood what i meant and there really was no need to beat a dead horse, ,
six i'm pointing and laughing. we both told you to follow your own links. the proof is in the pudding,

in the words of the great AlanF
you are not even wrong!!!
for as much as we mess with him he knows what is up. . .
Thank you Alan for doing the right thing, does this mean our rivalry is over? F*** no it is too much fun. . . .
6, remember when you and your clan thought that Suzi and I where the same person? you were wrong, see the pics we have posted if you need further evidence
remember when you thought you knew what you were talking about regarding law? wrong again. . . .
so, go read your links again and follow them to where they take you, pull out a dictionary and do your homework, I will save you some time, about as long as it takes to surgically remove a hymen, you are wrong, do yourself a favor and delete those links before you incur further worldwide embarassment upon yourself. . . .
cause dude you are wrong, just try to understand that you do not know what you are talking about,
you are very wrong, your links will show you that if you READ oh wait no comprehend and understand that you are fighting with yourself, besides
fair use was never issued
again go back and read. . . .why does it always come back to this here???
Comprehension would avoid so much
it is synonymous to common sense only problem is that common sense is not common. . . .
geez, why didn't you quit while you could???
RF thank you for your comments
Wendy, for whatever your opinion is worth to you, market value highly disagrees, you like a wigless other have the ability to chime in and spew with needless info, simply our opinion
try to keep up. . . .

"New Way, What's this about a new way???"---Alex, Clockwork Orange
asherah: mother of the goddess anath, consort of yahweh .
i was trying to prove to a spanish site that the bible uses euphemisms in order to cover up certain words of sexual origin.
one of those is "grove" which is used in order to cover up the sexual images of asherah.
The Following is taken from the
Witches' Goddess by Janet & Stewart Farrar:
p. 39
"The Hebrew Jarah, after whom Jericho, was named was goddess of the new moon and bride of the sun; Levanah, the moon of the Song of Solomon, was also Chaldean; and another Chaldean moon goddess Sirdu, wife of teh sun god Shamash-Bubbar, may also have been the bride of the Hebrew IAO(Yahweh). "
p. 47
"More than this: the Canaanite Anat was worshipped alongside Yahweh by many Jewish apostates, including the Jewish soldiers at Elephantine. Anat was (like the Egyptian Neith) Virgin mother of all things, including the male god, conceiving all of her own volition and without outside impregnation. She became (in a mystery typical of many primordial godesses) at the same time mother, consort, sister and daughter of the male god. Likr Neith, 'she was the first to give birth to anything, and she had done so when nothing else had been born, and she herself had never been born.' Something of this concept (however unofficially) undoubtedly influenced thinking about Mary. As Geoffry Ashe puts it (the virgin, p.61): 'If any hint from the constellation of senior deities crept into Christian minds, it was probably subconscious and its nature is quite uncertain. But they are relevant to Mary as the divinely fertilized women are not, even though their own motherhood is outside history and humanity.'
p 106
"The Hebrews, and their Christian and Moslem heirs, owe many unacknowledged debts to Ishtar --- including their Sabbaths, as mentioned in p.25. The Babylonian word was sabbatu, derived from sa-bat--'heart-rest', and was the day of the full moon, when the goddess was held to be menstruating, and it was believed unlucky to do any work, eat cooked food or travel. All of these have been taboo to menstruating women in many cultures, but when Ishtar was menstruating the ban covered men as well as women. Later the sabbatu was extended to the four lunar quarters -- ie, every seven days, which is how Hebrews inherited it.
"The Hebrews also owe the biblical book of Esther, and the Purim festival, to Ishtar. During the Babylonian captivity in the 5th century BC, the ordinay jewish captives turned naturally to the to the worship of ishtar. A vita part of the worship was the hieros gamos or sacred marriage between the king and the human representative of the goddess (chosen from the fairest of the human priestesses), a union which bought blessings on the people; and the story of Esther and King Ahasuerus reflects this exactly. Even her name does so; before her marriage she wa Hadassah ('myrtle'), but from then on she was called Esther, a form of ishta. Significantly, the Purim festival is on the 14th and 15th days (ie, the full moon, sacred to Ishtrar) of the month Adar; and the word Purim is non-Hebrew, from the Assyrian 'Puhru', the annual assembly of the gods.
"The present book of Esther was written a generation or two BC, doubtless to make respectable a festival of ineradicable popularity. Scholars agree that it is full of interpolations; but its original meaning cannot be hidden. not once does it mention the Jewish God --- the only book in the bible, apart from the splendidly erotic Song of Solomon which does not."
p.130
on the subject of the garden of eden and creating man. . .
"Yahweh (or was it more Elohim, that curious God-name which is feminine with a masculine plural ending?) created them both at the same time"
p 192
Aholibah: ('Tent in her') Hebrew, female personification of Jerusalem. Earlier apparently a wife of jehovah. Condemned by the Hebrew scriptures as a voluptuous whore, sometimes a menstruating one.
p. 195
Anatha Baetyl also Ashima Baetyl: Hebrew. A form of the Canaanite ANAT. One of the 2 wives of Jehovah in his fifth century BC cult at Elephantine in Egypt, the ohter being Ashima Baetyl. Solomon built two godes temples beside Jehovah's one in Jerusalem.
p. 199
Ashtart: Phoenician, sister and wife of cronus, to whom she bore Eros. Cronus made her one of the rulers of Phonecia, and she chose a bull's head as her royal insignia. Referred to in the Old Testament as Ashtatroth. Reputation for lasciviousness. Ashtart-of-the-Sky-of-Baal was the planet Venus. Tends to merge Ashera and Astarte.
Astarte, Athtarat: Canaanite version of Ishtar, fertility goddess. Chief goddess of Tyre and Sidon. Astarte was also the Greek form of the name Ashtart. tends to merge with Asherat and Anat, and with the Egyptian Hathor. She came to Egypt; Ramses II had a temple to her, and she and Isis were said to be firm friends. Like Anat and Hathor, she was a suckler of kings. Associated with the planet Venus. The Greeks transfered her role in the Adonis story to Aphrodite. A cult of Astarte and Tyrian herakles, served by priestess, existed in London, Carlisle and Corbridge, Northumberland, in Roman Times, probably connected with the presence of Eastern traders.
p. 228
Hepzibah: ('My delight is in her') Hebrew, personification of Jerusalem; possibly originally a wife of Jehovah.
p. 273
Sirdu, Sirrida: A chaldean moon goddess, also called simply A, Aa or Ai. Wife of Sun god Shamash-Bubbar, or possibly of the Hebrew IAO(Yahweh)
hope the following helps you out pharaoh. . . .
